CAMELBAK PODIUM 2017

Where were you last weekend? For Team Sandugo-Basekamp it was at Basekamp Biker’s Pitstop where more than twenty of our riders battled it out with over 300 other participants for this year’s Camelbak Podium race! Despite the intense uphill segments and the slippery and technical trails our riders were still able to dominate the podium with their Brusko MTB’s – Jericho Rivera was the overall champion and his brother, Jake Aldrin Rivera bagged overall 3rd! For the age categories, Lito Glinogo, Edward Tuazon, Marvin Dematera, and Tat Cobrador bagged 1st. Christian Amparado, Christian Yatco, Tonton Buaya, and Jude Fernando took 2nd. Jeff Pancipane and Jam Rivera won 3rd – an    awesome Sunday indeed!

2017 NATIONAL MTB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Riders from the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, and Taiwan flocked to Danao, Cebu last weekend to vie for the coveted national champion jersey and to win the Asian invitationals. The downhill category was characterized by the death-defying starting point, where even the most experienced DH riders got cold feet before finally mustering the courage to run through the course. The XCO course wasn’t for the faint of heart either – with its many steep inclines and rock gardens. Despite the rainy weather and the thick mud during the days leading up to raceday, and the sweltering heat on raceday itself – the riders all left with strong finishes. Team Sandugo Basekamp rider Jericho Rivera, proudly racing on his Brusko, was crowned National Champion in the XCO category while Jam Rivera and Lito Glinogo finished 1st and 3rd in their age category, respectively. Congratulations to all the riders and see you all again for next year’s installment!
